the awesome thing about zbrush is that you can make such nice organic models with a tablet and its easy and fun alot of the time. but sadly the poly count goes way to high to be used in any kid of video game engine. though for animation it works just fine

Haha, yeah you got to watch those polys! I have a model of him that is less then 20 thousand polys and it looks almost the same. The shell actually looks better in the low res. XD

there always is the trick of using the topology to get the same geometry but with with 1/4 to 1/8 of the polys, then its all about the texture tricks you can pull. but have you ever used the dynamesh instead of the zspheres? it fixes the stretched polygons automatically, its better for concepts rather then actual use

I am in the game department and we are being taught low poly moddelling in maya, the animation students are being taught high poly moddelling in zbrush xD

Lol, we make high poly models and low res them for game. Im getting into the animation side but its always good to know how to low res and keep it looking awesome.

i had lots of experience in animation prior to coming to college, now its all game and the programming and the scripting and the designing xD. but the moddelling is still the best part
