Kai lived on the beach most of his life so he is pretty calm and laid back when it comes to most things. This doesn't mean he is a lazy individual though! His father ran a boat shop on the beach where he made custom fishing poles and other gear. Having no mother around, Kai would sit and watch his father work in the boat shop and help make lures. Kai always had band-aids on his fingers as a child. Over the years Kai met some friends and developed a love of surfing and would start making his own boards for him and his friends. There was such a demand for his boards that he started selling them at his fathers shop! Kai doesn't talk much but does like to talk about surfing and anything to do with water. He used to give CPR lessons, Swimming and Surfing lessons which helped pay for college. Kai always had a full class! He figured he was just that good of a teacher! It was a little odd that most of the class were ladies... but he never figured that out.

HISTORY:

Kai grew up on the beaches of Potpourri Island with his father. His mother left shortly after Kai was born, not ready to be a mother at the time. They did keep in contact on Holidays but other then that he never saw her growing up. This didn't affect Kai much, he loved spending time with his father in the Boat Shop. He enjoyed working with his hands making stuff to sell in the shop with his father and in his teens he got into surfing. Kai met some older surfers that taught him how to surf, but he found there surfboards were too big and heavy to move around. He started to make his own at his fathers shop which became a hit and Kai started to sell them to save up for college. With the money from the surfboards and lessons he gave, by the time he was ready for college money wasn't an issue.

Kai went to college for Business, dreaming of having his own surfing shop one day. He dated a girl in his class and he loved her. They had been dating for 2 years and he was thinking about there future together but that got derailed when she got offered a job in the city on the main land. After graduation they split up on good terms but it still wrecked him and he went home but didn't build anything or even surf for nearly a year. That was when he got a letter in the mail. It was an invitation to a town that he never heard of. His father got him to go, thinking a change might be good for him. Maybe Kai could set up a shop in that town and make some new friends. Kai eventually agreed and packed up his bags and headed out on his new adventure!
